While you can signup for a Twitter account when you first launch UberSocial, you can also click here to sign up for Twitter or here for instructions on signing up for Twitter.

Once you’ve created a Twitter account, you can link this to your UberSocial app and start tweeting!

1. When you open UberSocial for the first time, you should see a screen with the UberSocial logo and a button that says “Sign in to Twitter”
2. Tap "Sign in to Twitter"
3. It may take a few seconds to load while the app is "Redirecting to Twitter".
4. This will bring you to a Twitter sign in page.
5. Enter your Twitter login credentials and click "Authorize App"

To edit your account(s)

1. Press the "menu" button on your phone
2. Tap Accounts
3. Tap the account you want to edit
4. This will bring you to a new screen where you can also "Re-Authorize".
5. You’ll then have the option of checking boxes:

“Use SSL connection” is an option for setting up an extra secure connection between your app and Twitter. Most users do not choose to check this box as it can slow your app down somewhat and your information is secure without it.

“Default Account” is relevant when you have more than one account. You should check this box when setting up your most-used twitter account.

“Remember me” allows you to open UberSocial without having to log in anew every time.

If you get a message that says “Cannot Authenticate” – don’t panic! There are a couple of possible explanations for this:

Please check that your login information is correct – one useful tip is to try logging in on the web.

Also, please verify that your phone’s clock is accurate – Twitter recently implemented a new rule that disallows login by users on devices where the time/time zone doesn’t match their location.

If neither of these tips help, you’re likely a victim of a common and benign issue: 

Unfortunately sometimes third party apps can have a difficult time authenticating user login data. Luckily, if you wait awhile and try again you should eventually be able to login. It may take a few tries, however.

You can also link more than one Twitter Account to your app:

1. Press the menu button on your phone
2. Select "More"
3. Select “Accounts”
4. This will lead you to a page where you’ll see the accounts you have already set up
5. Clicking your phone’s menu button again, from this page, will bring up a small window that says “Add Account”
6. Clicking “Add Account” will lead you to the Twitter login page: see Setting Up Your Account(s) In UberSocial
