If you are running version 1.20 or 1.201 and are having trouble logging in this should help. As with all login issues, we ask that you first verify that your password is correct and your account hasn't been locked or deleted by logging into the Twitter web site (http://twitter.com or on the mobil web site (http://m.twitter.com).
Once you've verified that you're using the correct information, and if clicking 'Sign in' returns an error, try clicking the 'Sign In Via Browser' button on the bottom right of the login screen instead. If you receive a "No response from Twitter" message, even after clicking 'Sign in Via Browser', then try the following:
This may be a permissions issue. Perform the following sequence, making sure you complete each step:
1. Go to the options icon on your blackberry (small wrench icon)
2.a. On new devices go to options->Applications->UberSocial
2.b. On older devices go to options->Advanced Options->Applications->UberSocial
3. Set permissions to 'allow' and save the settings.
4. Remove and reinsert your battery in order to do a full device reset.
Once your phone reboots, go back and try the "Sign in Via Browser" again.
In most cases this will work, but if not, please contact us by clicking the 'Login Trouble' button on the sign in screen. In your message, please make sure to include the steps you've already tried, and also any error messages you're receiving so that our support rep can jump right into getting you some help with this!

i've tried this already, to no avail. :(
i have tried a full reset and even deleting and reinstalling the app itself.
clicking sign in or sign in via browser would lead me to a blank gray ubersocial background with a pop-up saying "requesting access from twitter". this will go on for around 5 minutes and then eventually another pop-up would appear saying "no response from twitter". aaargh I give up!
Same here, this does not work, I get "Internal Server Error"
every try is a fail! it's awful to make a new version which doesn't work! totally insane!
Twitter make a plot against ubersocial or what?...!!!
I've tried all of that, uninstalled and reinstalled. All it says us ""no response from twitter"
I have tried to do the sign in via browser, and still nothing. It keeps saying cant connect to twitter to sign in.. I did notice one thing though. That the arrows that usually come up at the top right of my black berry screen saying that data is being transfered, isnt there, or is there for a second, and then disapears. I think this means that the data transfering that is saposed to happen isnt for some reason. :( And I know that I have internet connection, since all of my other apps are working just fine/normal and I talked to my mobiel carrier..
Same problem - internal server error and no ability to connect to Twitter. Tried everything suggested.

Hello all! I think i have a fix to get back on twitter through uber social. :) I played around with my blackberry. First as they say, make sure you have allow on all permissions. Then, When you first click on Uber Social to open it, click your menu button. Change the network setting to auto, or blackberry internet service, (or something like that). Once you have done that, click sign in using the browser (sign in via browser). It should start to connect. It will go to a internet page for uber social. Enter your email address and password. And click agree/allow. Then ok/enter. Once you have done this, it should start connecting. Then a message will pop up saying something like Uber Social will handle the rest and to close your browser. Click end button on your blackberry. Then go ahead and open Uber social again. It should connect as normal and work again. :) Hope this helps. I had to tinker around with my phone for a while, but mine is working again. ;)
Oh and I would love to hear if what worked for my black berry worked for you! :) So, please let me know. Or if you have questions, I can try to help as well. ;) I dont work for uber social or anything, I just wasnt getting much help with what I could get from searches, or from this site/staff. I am going to notify Uber social of what I did to fix mine so if it works for you also, tell me so I can have them add it to there site for how to fix the problem. ;) Thanks a bunch!

oh and to quickly say also for clarification the option to click once you first get on uber social, hit menu on your phone. Change the "network options" to Auto Network or even BIS (blackBerry internet service) then enter. (either one worked for me) Then I clicked on sign in via browser.
If I press log out everytime I close ubersocial and then press again the ubersocial button again must I everytime sign in to twitter?

@UberSocial. If 1,000 people each spend 10 mins trying to resolve this unsuccessfully, how much time of theirs have you wasted?
This is not the first time you have messed this up. Act responsibly: Don't offer a product if you can't deliver a decent experience. Instead just take it away and leave us to the alternatives that remain.
Hi guys, with great JOY I have come to share my experience and so tell you how to resolve it. It's NOT a rocket science. Just as they said, on your Blackberry phone, go to Options>Device>Application Manager and scroll down to UberSocial. Click on it and then click EDIT PERMISSION. Make sure all the CUSTOM are turned on to ALLOW. Click the Menu Key and they SAVE. After these, go back to your newly updated UberSocial and click. IF it prompts you to ACCEPT, click on the Back key on your BB. Scroll down and and click on NETWORK OPTIONS (on your left hand side). Make sure you SELECT AUTO, also, you could see the WIFI option is also thicked. After which, you go back and click on Login Via Browser. It will open the Login Page one time. Enter your correct details then follow the on screen instruction. Bingooooo!!!! There you go. Issue resolved! Cheers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello, I am using 1.20 and it works well, but I can't use bit.ly pro custom domain. I've already add my email address to login and API key provided by bit.ly to my UberSocial application, but it show me an error every shrinking URL: "error shrinking, url malformed response". Please give me a solution. Thanks before.
I had make sure my custom turned all to accept and i selected auto for the wifi option! AND NOW I STILL REQUESTING ACCESS FROM TWITTER. What happening?!
Same here! It doesn't work! First an internal error, then i can't sign in "No response form Twitter" and I've tried the solutions mentioned before, and nothing... HELP!
Try Network Options -- >> direct TCP.
it always says "NO RESPONSE FROM TWITTER!" seriously? i get to sign in on my Uber before. suddenly, i can't now. it's really annoying! i did everything possible. everything they suggested. it's disappointing! I WANT TO USE MY UBERSOCIAL!!!! Work on this, staffs!!
@ JAMES BACANI. i tried it. it headed me to the browser. i entered my username and pw, then got back to twitter sign in. and i'm stuck. just gray BG and twitter sign in on upper right side. aaaahh. :(
uh yea. it worked! change your network option to Direct TCP. then wait, just wait, be patient. and click the BB Menu. go to your username. @iamkristineO for example or Uber tweet/new tweet so you will know if you're logged in. just try and try. i hope it would help. :D
I've tried to 'allow' at permissons. Then reboot. But still with the NO RESPONSE FROM TWITTER! Come on man!

Tred of resting my pone over and over again, never works all get is a message that says " no response from twitter"....... What sould di ?!?!?!
i tried this as well and i didnt get any response from twitter...
Go to Network setting, make it Direct TCP, and check the last two options in the bottom. then click the back bottom (not backward button), you'll find it in the top. Then log it again. it worked for me. Hope it works for you guys.

oh, just make sure that when you change the network option, you scroll up to click " back to login" instead of closing the app ! ;)
if it doesnt work.. then log-in to your twitter account via www.twitter.com and check the Application permissions.. make sure ubersocial is not Revoked
